Often. teaching is framed as an unteachable art. One either has the sensibility and instinct, or they don't. This is incredibly vague and limiting to those that care about children and want to teach well but need help to inspire that spark of willingness from their students. The technique and psychology of sales, however, are teachable! So it's not only a helpful metaphor but also valuable for coaching educators experiencing difficulty connecting with students.

Okay you’re touching on another great topic that frequently preoccupies me! When a 13 year old just doesn’t know what he doesn’t know and you know that if he only knew he would be... better off let’s say. Yes education is enticement. A big reason that I left the mainstream was because of how grades are used as coercion to learn.
